Places to See
  • The 2,018-hectare Minalungao National Park, located 25 kms. east of Gapan City in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, has ample facilities for picnics, swimming, fishing, raft riding and cliff diving amidst rustic settings.  The place abounds with unique rock formations, unexplored subterranean caverns, marble and limestone deposits, trees, birds and other wildlife.
  • Minalungao Cave, found some 10 kms. from the poblacion, is said to extend up Gen. Aguinaldo Cave (Brgy. Sibul, San Miguel, Bulacan)
Brief History
  • Gen. Tinio was formerly a sitio of Gapan called Papaya
  • It later became a barrio of Peñaranda
  • Papaya became a separate municipality on January 1, 1921
  • It was renamed, on August 19, 1957, after revolutionary general Manuel Tinio.
Location and Topography

Gen. Tinio is bounded on the north by Gabaldon and Laur; on the west by Gapan City and Penaranda; on the northwest by Sta. Rosa; on the east by Dingalan (Aurora); and on the south by Dona Remedios Trinidad (Bulacan).
